Take Time to Build Relationships
Building relationships is a process and not something that happens over night. Don’t try to leverage relationships right after you meet people or you will most likely not be successful because you have not built trust, credibility or friendship. Nurture your relationships so your network is long lasting and a win/win situation for both of you. It takes times to get to the point where people are comfortable helping you. Be patient and realize that good things come to people who wait.

Good point Carol,
It seems like too many people try building “relationships” to see what they can get out of it. (I guess that’s true in the dating world too huh?) Anyways, from what I have found, if you have an attitude of “Give Without Want” things always work out and people look at you as an expert and someone they can trust. Which is always a good thing!
