Are you living the abundant life?

The world is full of abundance and opportunity, but far too many people come to the fountain of life with a sieve instead of a tank car… a teaspoon instead of a steam shovel. They expect little and as a result they get little.
Ben Sweetland

Where in your life are you experiencing abundance? Is your life full of friends, of love, of success, of spiritual riches? Where are you experiencing lack? Do you dream big or small? Do you have huge expectations? Do you adopt an attitude of gratitude for all the wonders that are in your life right now?

  1. This was a fabulous chat - I am so disappointed that the thunder storms here forced me off the computer. But, I’m a believer in Universal Law, so I’m sure there was some higher reason for it ;)

Anyway, I have been really thinking about many of the comments that were made and the information that was presented. Everyone had such wonderful insight. And, Katherine - your visual of the woman with the thimble is really staying with me.

This morning, I received an e-zine that is geared toward Yoga. This quote was in the story that was presented: “When we overly restrain ourselves, we often become intoxicated with the mundane.”

That sentence made me stop. right. there. in my tracks. I re-read it again and again.

Couldn’t that concept be applied to what we were discussing yesterday?

For example, Katherine talked about reaching out to life with both hands and taking what is there for us.

This quote speaks along the same lines.

We overly restrain ourselves when we sabotage our efforts; when we hold ourselves back out of fear; when we let our inner critic win.

And, when we allow ourselves to be restrained, the penalty is mediocrity.

This sentence stopped me in my tracks this morning because, I’m not ready for mediocrity. I want my life to be rich, and full, and inspired.

This quote gives the perspective that we are in control - and we are. We don’t have to succumb to fear, or insecurity, or the inner critic.

Our life is in our hands - truly :)

    Hi Jenn,

Oh, yes, your quote absolutely does apply to Katherine’s motivational message.

Here is what I say about it.

There are two kinds of people on the planet.

    Wandering Generalities or Meaningful Specifics

You see, YOU are either a wandering generality or a meaningful specific. My question is, which one are YOU?

Wandering Generalities (people who settle for mediocrity and stay and think inside their comfort zone) have no clue what they are doing here on the planet and therefore settle for mediocrity.

Meaningful Specifics (people who never settle for mediocrity and think, work and play outside of their comfort zone while meticulously following their passions onward and upward along THEIR life’s path) have EVERY clue what they are doing here on the planet and therefore cannot ever settle for mediocrity.

This is what I teach my students and my clients and the transformations that I have the privilege of sharing with them is nothing short of amazing and astounding.

Empowering another human being with universal truths is THE most empowering thing that you can do for YOURSELF.

Katherine, thank you so much for your inspiration and motivation as I love listing to you and Elizabeth bring your thoughts, experiences, teachings and life coaching skills to the table for each and everyone of these MMM (Midday Motivational Messages). You allow me and remind me to continue to be a meaningful specific.
