Wow Katherine! I am sorry I missed this session - such thought-provoking questions... I would have loved to hear what everyone offered. Luckily, I have an awesome support system around me. My family and my friends are wonderful at supporting my dreams.

I'll admit, though - when I first entertained the idea of entrepreneurship, I did have some resistance from a few family members. Their intentions weren't to cut me down, however - they were merely attempting to keep me safe... in the confines of a "normal" job.

Anyway - once they saw that I wouldn't be happy living someone else's life, they came around and offered support instead of the resistance.

I am happy to say as a mom - who doesn't follow the conventional path, I support my daughter in whatever she envisions for herself.

Maddie is only 5, and she expresses interest in a multitude of things. No matter what, I always reinforce that she can do whatever she wants - that I will support her whether she wants to be a ballerina, or a police woman :)
