What a fantastic topic Elizabeth! I think many times, we are imprisoned by the idea that we are "stuck in our current situation." We don't realize that we do have choices. We can choose to think new thoughts. We can choose to focus on our goals/what we DO want. And, we can choose to take steps toward a new way of being... even if those steps have to be small for the moment.

I remember when I was "stuck" in Corporate America. I felt so bogged down in thoughts of "I have to be here until my business makes enough money to replace this income..." I didn't see a way out.

But, then I realized that simply taking steps forward in my business, focusing on where I wanted to be, and getting into a joyful mind-set about it, made those changes happen much faster. I began to see possibilities.

So, if you really feel imprisoned, find someone you trust and are close to and talk to them about it. Ask them to help you see some new thoughts, or see some new choices.

Staying positive minded is so important, much like Elizabeth said, because as Roy mentioned the average person's self-talk is about 75% of a negative nature. Therefore, I encourage you to invest more of your time with those people in your life that are positive thinkers and to invest less time with those that are negative thinkers. This will help to build your reputation in both your business and personal life.

Encore Virtual Assistant
"Keeping you organized, efficient and productive."
Today, I attended my first Verbal Networking Midday Motivational Moment. I have to say, this program is superbly named! It was a welcome break in the middle of my day and I left truly motivated!
Elizabeth began the program by speaking about freedom. I began to ask myself, how am I inprisoned? Then Roy said he liked to use the term "invest" in a relationship instead of "spend" time in a relationship, that is when I saw my prison. I frequently refer to speding time in my relationships. I did not realize I was participating in negative thinking. By changing my terminology to "investing", I changed my thinking to a positive energy. Then Roy taught me how to apply the term "investing" into other areas of my life. It was reassuring to hear Elizabeth explain her struggles. I walked away understanding, we all struggle and we all strive to keep positive. By attending this Verbal Networking Midday Motivational Moment, I benefited so much more than I ever expected. I am looking forward to the next session!

I can see that this Morning Motivational Minutes will assist the participants in both self-development as well as the successful development of their business. Once again, upon participating in this empowering event, I am empowered! As Roy said, "I have done good to myself," by taking the time to listen and paricipate in this wonderful event. God has given Elizabeth and Katherine calming voices to add to the calming words He has given them. Today, more than yesterday, I will put these things into practice. Then...tomorrow, more than today, I will put these things into practice. I would like to take this time to thank Roy & Sharon; Elizabeth, adnd Katherine for this time and this place.
